SOCIAL MEDIA. REACH OUT TO YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE.
"Social media is an ever changing toolbox for your company to reach your target audience in the right way, with the right message, in the most effective way for your company"
Social Media has become a large part of most company's online strategies and, some companies say, it's almost an essential part of your marketing strategy.
Whether you want to create an individual social media profile to interact with your clients or maximise the social media world and create company profiles and link with all of your staff with their own individual social pages social media will work for you.
There's no "one size fits all" with social media and many things will determine what will work for you, for example:
- What type of services you offer, who your customers are and their demographic.
- What type of news and media you produce and what you're trying to say to your audience.
- Are you advertising to your audience or are you interacting with them.
- How much time can you realistically dedicate to your social media "campaign"?
... the list goes on and that's where we'll make sure that you're setting up to maximise your social media reach.
An example of deciding which social platform to use:
Now YouTube and Facebook are two very different social media platforms however they can both be used by businesses to great effect.
You produce video’s to describe your product or service (which are excellent media for reaching out to your target audience).
If you’re an engineering company, for example, and want to produce a series of videos detailing your products you are more likely to use YouTube where users will be looking for specific categories of videos and are using YouTube to search for video instructions or series.
However if your videos are to do with fashion items, for example, then Facebook may well be your preferred platform as it has a more social demographic.
There are a multitude of Social Media platforms including; Facebook, linkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, flickr, and more.
Some are more targeted towards business social media (for example linkedIn), others are more personal (and social – for example Instagram). It's always worth investigating the social media channels to make sure that you're going to maximise your potential to your target audience.
